Looks like team Wax Idiotical is not done with the 2009 48hfp season yet. We are honored to be chosen as one of 5 teams to participate in the Panasonic HD Showdown. We've been lent a Panasonic AG-HPX300 with which to make a 3-5 minute movie this coming weekend. We can't wait! Here's two links: a slow-mo test and a short test film made with the camera.

Well THAT one took a lot out of us. The International Shootout is over and we're extremely happy with our effort. Here's a look at the "First Sunrise" poster. Per the rules we're not allowed to post it on-line yet, but don't worry, as soon as we can we will =)

48HFP International Shootout!

Wax Idiotical will be participating in the 2009 48HFP International Shootout.

"On December 4-7, 2009, 48HFP teams from around the world will compete head-to-head. This is a special competition open to the 100 top teams from the 48 Hour Film Project 2009."

We're honored to be concitered one of these "top 100 teams" and are wicked excited because

"The winning film will screen at Filmapalooza and at the Cannes Film Festival!"

That would be just plain awesome.

Thanks to everyone at the New Hampshire Film Festival. The short film screenings were awesome. People seemed to enjoy "Stalling" which is all I can ask for =) Also congratulations to Marc Dole and J. Zachary Pike for Tweet representing New Hampshire at Filmapalooza after we chose "Don't Forget the Milk" over "Stalling." It's been a crazy year for Wax Idiotical and we're looking forward to the future!

Wax Idiotical Films has won its second Best Picture award. "Don't Forget the Milk" took best picture at last Saturday's Best of Providence screening along with the Audience Award for screening group F. We also tied for Best Direction with Noisykid + Optic Sugar's wonderful film "Cease to Beat" It was an honor merely to be screened with all the wonderful films at Providence this year.

Providence 48 Hour Film Project

Last night we had the primary screening for "Don't Forget the Milk" at the Providence 48 Hour Film Project. The movie was well received at the end of a night of interesting films. Other highlights include: "The Horrifying Horror Movie".

Hopefully, we'll be seeing some more of the 48 hour films at the best of screening (knock on wood) in Providence on the 15th of August. Be sure to get your tickets in advance, and let us know if you're coming! Hope to see you all there!!!

So sure enough on my day off I got motivated and put together the poster for "Don't Forget the Milk"... i think it came out pretty good.

I'll also be doing a poster for "No Way to go Through Life" but first i need rest :)
